Reflections

Every week sessions have reflection. I'll keep update later for the details about I learned in every class session.

Week 1

The lecture was cancelled because of the public holiday, Yang di-Pertuan Agong's birthday. 

Week 2

The lecture for this week also cancelled due to the Malaysia's Day. 

Week 3

Pn. Hajah Asmayati had briefed about assignments that need to be complete in 14 weeks.Then, we were divided into a few groups for assignments. Software were chosen by each group and we required to present it starting on Week 5. We were also given an issue to discuss through the forum in MyGuru. The topic is about ICT promotes English language use and discuss it.

Week 4

Reconfirmation partners for all assignments due to the inbalance number of students in this class. For assignment 4, Infusing ICT in lesson, students were given a choice to choose which topic they want to present. So, my group chose to present Padlet to the others.

Week 5

This week, Alif, Fitri and Akmal present about using Google Drive, Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Forms and Google Sheets. Among those softwares, I'm really prefer using Google Forms and Google Drive. These both help me a lot in creating survey and keeping my things safely in the Google Drive. The other three are also good but I get used in using Microsoft Office. The only disadvantage for those softwares is it requires Internet connection to use. Google Slides is like the Microsoft Power Point while Google Docs is same like Microsoft Word and Google Sheets is same like Microsoft Excel.

Week 6

Blogspot

Everyone no need to feel confuse with the coding HTML as the blogger is here and easier for users to use. Through blog, we can share our passion, our knowledge to others. During the class, I learned how to choose template, add posts, add pictures, share links, change the cursor into cute cursor, add snow and sparkles to my blog and etc. It was fun during customizing our blog! Now, I able to create this e-Portfolio and thanks for their help for sharing knowledge with us.

Week 7

Wix.com

Akbar, Atirah and Arief's turn to present this. Through this website, I found there is a lot of features and templates that I can design for my website. The website also stay in high speed rate when I used it. I prefer Wix.com to others if they want to create a blog. This is because Wix.com has modern and trendy looks. As usual, of course it requires Internet connection everytime using it. I love when editing blog we can add gifs and make our blog look more cool and nice.

Microsoft Powerpoint 

Through this, I learned that we can add transition, audio, images, video to make our slide presentation more interesting. We can gifs or memes to make our slides become funny and attract audiences. I feel Microsoft Powerpoint is the one of the best software to use because it is easy to use and doesn't require Internet connection. I feel everyone has the same opinion with me.

This software is suitable for statistics, business, economy and database. We learned how to create graph chart, arrange name list, calculate data and etc.

Week 8

Padlet

It is my turn to present Padlet with my groupmates. We taught others how to sign up, create a new padlet, choose any design for Padlet, explain every design templates are suitable for. We felt glad that they understood what we present about.

Mentimeter 

It can help us to present beautiful and interactive presentation to our audience. It also can use as polls or brainstorming sessions in classes or group activities. Like usual, if you want more access to use the nice features, you need to subscribe and pay for the plan.

Youtube

This is the one of the well-known websites we all know. Youtube is where videos are posted and shared around the world. It is a place for teachers and students to learn as they can watch at anywhere anytime. It can also create live video. This really encourage and useful in education. We learned how to become a youtuber by using Youtube Studio.

Week 9

Quizizz

I found out that quizzes can convert into printable worksheets. This is easier for the teachers to prepare tests or quizzes for their students. The best thing is we can add funny memes and this add the fun in group activity. The way to play the game is same like Kahoot!, which the students must enter the code on their devices. To create the questions, we need to use the link that was called quizizz admin. The difference between Quizizz and Kahoot! that I notice is questions are visible on each individual devices for Quizizz, while Kahoot!, the questions are projected on the admin's screen and not visible on individual devices.

Chemsketch 

Now, I able to learn to draw structural molecule easily using Chemsketch! Thanks to them for sharing how to do it. It was fun when learning using this for the first time.

Movie Maker 

This software is free and everyone can download it from the Internet. It is the same like Filmora. Very useful! Easy to use too. We can put pictures, audio, video and compile it all. It suits for the students to make video for their school or university projects.

Week 10 

Kahoot!

First group was presenting Kahoot! They taught how to sign up an account, how to create a quiz. This is fun because it doesn't take a lot of time to create the quiz. The students also doesn't need to register an account to join the quiz. They just need to enter the code on their devices. The best thing is, Salina and Aimi created a short quiz about Environmental Chemistry. It is nice because we could study and test our mind for the preparation test on this Thursday night. The best moment to me is I won as the champion in the Kahoot! quiz they prepared. Yay! This result motivated me to study more and be more confident.

Plickers

It only need the teacher to use Wi-Fi. The students don't need wifi to use this. After done play the quiz, the teacher can analyse the students' performance by clicking at the reports in the Plickers and print it. This apps is good but it is quite hard for the first learners and need time to understand the flow of this Plickers. It need to scan the code from afar. The code need to turn in the correct way to give our answer.

Each Plickers code is different for each student.

Screen-o-cast

This software can be used to record video through laptop. For free plan, we cannot hear the audio from the computer. So, we need to subscribe and buy the premium plan in order to get more features from this software. Anyway, it is fun and good to know there is software like this for PC to record video. Usually, we screen record video in smartphones using apps like Mobizen and etc.

The lecture class for these two weeks were canceled because Madam went for outstation.

Prezi

This is another method of presentation other than Microsoft Powerpoint. I admire Prezi but sometimes it can make other people dizzy because of the 'zoom' transition. It also requires Internet to use it.
